Highland Safaris winner of the `best visitor experience` in Scotland combines the new Red Deer Centre

Highland Safaris is Aberfeldy’s Best Day Out, a winner of `best visitor experience` in Scotland, with something for all the family. Make a day of it by experiencing different activities, from gold & gem panning, to an exhilarating Land Rover Safari, to the Red Deer Centre, followed by lunch in our café, and a browse round our Gift Shop.

Here’s a rundown of what is on offer:

RED DEER CENTRE - Here you can get up close and personal with Britain’s largest native land mammal – the majestic Red Deer – feeding, stroking and photographing these fascinating creatures, and learning more about their life cycle and natural habitat. You can also meet and encounter our tame Barn Owl, Ossian, in a hands on demonstration, as well as discovering the natural wonders of Highland Perthshire on a fun and inspiring short walk.
At the moment, whilst Enchanted Forest is running, you can get 2 for 1 entry to the RDC on presentation of Enchanted Forest Tickets, valid for one year, so plenty of time to redeem.
Scheduled admission times are 1000, 1200 and 1400hrs. Winter 1200hrs only.

LAND ROVER SAFARIS Choose a Safari option that suits you best and explore these awe-inspiring mountains, lochs and forests, to experience ‘A unique Journey of Discovery’.

LOCH TAY SAFARIS – take to the water to explore Perthshire’s largest loch, and the second largest in Scotland, on our custom built Iolaire rib cabin vessel, learning more about the History, Heritage and fascinating folklore of Loch Tay. TRAIL CENTRE Woodland walks, biking trails, route maps, bike hire, BiketraX MTB Skills Loop, bike wash, and ‘Drop at the Top’ self guided Cycling & Walking Safaris.
